TOMORROW THINK OF ME

Welcome to the dawn of a new day in EB awareness!

The first "TOMORROW THINK OF ME" was a big success, and photos and details about the three events will be posted very soon.  However, our happiness met its equal in sadness as Paola Zotti, who envisioned this event, fell ill on December 11th at the RAI International television station, where she was - as usual - talking about EB and the need for research to find a cure.  Paola was taken to the hospital, where she remained in Intensive Care until December 15th, the day she left our global EB community.  Paola was a true EB warrior in every sense, and she will be missed deeply by her family and friends.  I trust that God has appointed her an 'honorary EB angel.'  Rest in peace, my dear friend!

SIMULCAST EVENTS - DECEMBER 13th / 14th, 2009!

TOMORROW THINK OF ME is the first-ever international EB research fundraiser.

A unique celebration blending music, art, luxury and solidarity, this milestone event will take place in three of the world's most cosmopolitan cities... Rome, Toronto and New York City.

The concept for TOMORROW THINK OF ME was developed by related charities, the Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Associations (DEBRA) of Italy and Canada, with the generous pro bono support of Laura Rossi International, a PR agency dedicated to social justice.

Our event's patroness is Eleonora Abbagnato, Prima Ballerina of the Paris Opera.  She is joined by other high-profile patrons, including city mayors and others from around the globe.

GlobalTV, a partner in the Toronto event, is currently running a national Public Service Announcement across Canada, featuring actress Courteney Cox, with the gracious assistance of the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation to help increase EB awareness.

This coordination of people, charity partners, sponsors and the media is hoped to be a revolution of sorts... the dual purpose for this event is to raise funds for results-oriented EB research programs, to make an impact at a time when scientific research is burgeoning worldwide... and to significantly boost EB awareness on a global scale.

IN ROME, WHERE WILL THE EVENT TAKE PLACE?

The event in Rome will be held at the historic Temple of Hadrian, erected to the deified Hadrian on the Campus Martius, built by his adoptive son and successor, Antoninus Pius, in 145 C.E. and now incorporated into the Piazza di Pietra (Piazza of Stone).  Click here for more information.

WHERE IN TORONTO?

The event in Toronto will be held at the world-renowned CN Tower, one of the seven "Wonders of the Modern World."  Attendees will gather at Horizons, on the Lookout Level, where on a clear day, you can see the mist on Niagara Falls, 75 miles away.  Click here for more information.

WHERE IN NEW YORK CITY?

The event in New York City will be held at the elite Cipriani Wall Street.  This address was once home to the Merchants' Exchange, Stock Exchange, U.S. Customs House, and headquarters of the National City Bank.  Click here for more information.

Details about the exclusive global art and jewelry auction by Christie's will soon be revealed in catalog format.

The three events will be televised by RAI on satellite, allowing speeches by city representatives and patrons to be televised for the global media.  If you would like to attend one of the events, to enjoy the activities and participate in the auction, please make your interest known to one of the country representatives.

Funds raised by TOMORROW THINK OF ME will be directed effectively, with the proceeds invested into the most promising cure/treatment efforts.  This event's officers are very well-informed about current EB research in their own and other countries, and receive counsel from noted EB authorities.  Please see the Key People page for more details about the advocates involved, and the Participating Charities page for information about their organizations.

If you are interested in participating as a designated Sponsor for this signature event, please contact one of the Key People listed for further information.  Sponsor information packages are available upon request.

This is a heartfelt and determined effort.  We hope that you will assist by publicizing this event in every way you can, and directing the public to this website for the most up-to-date information. Social media is a wonderful promotion tool for charity events - and we appreciate your support!

We can accomplish GREAT things, working together! John F. Kennedy said: "One person can make a difference, and every person should try."  We hope you will!
